Food trucks were and still are the “it” delicacy for people to try and for some to follow around for their favorite dish on a paper plate or stick. Food trucks have come a long way from when they first started getting exposure on every media outlet possible and some getting their own following from social networks. Recently Thrash Lab spoke to eleven trucks on not only their world on wheels but how they got their start! Los Angeles is one of the most popular of places known for delicious gourmet food combinations on wheels so if you haven’t eaten from an LA gourmet truck then get yourself over to some hot spots with an empty stomach!

Fiat has a funny way to introduce their new four door 500L model and if your a fan of pretty women in form fitting white dresses I doubt you’ll be remembering the Fiat out of anything in their new Super Bowl commercial! There are many car companies trying to make their mark this Super Bowl weekend and Fiat has a nice strategy to get viewers to keep their commercial and hopefully their new car in mind. Watch and try to keep your eyes on that nice looking four door 500L model!…or not?

This Super Bowl commercial by Kia makes everyone think twice about the question “Where do babies come from?’ and this answer to the sometimes uncomfortable question seems to be a good one! Playing off the idea of space like some other Super Bowl commercials this 2013 seems to be the theme of the of the year. Along with great visual effects and a great funny story to go with it, Kia made sure to make another memorable ad just like their famous dancing hamsters. My favorite part? Seeing all those baby animals in space suits getting ready for the life changing launch!

Its that time of year again and while people are looking forward to the big game others like myself are looking forward to the ads during the Super Bowl! Some of the ads for 2013 have already rolled out and one that already stands out is by Coca Cola. With their theme of chasing after the delicious soda, everyone wants the first drink. No matter what you look like, what you like or even your preference in motor vehicles Coca Cola is the number one priority! Check out the soda pops ad with dusty cowboys, dirty mad maxish looking guys and beautiful feathery showgirl dancers all fighting for that great bottle of the carbonated bubbly drink!

New Snow Breed and A Runaway Snowmobile!

The 2013 Winter X Games again had some great moments and some very shocking ones! Of course Shaun White and Kelly Clark do their thing with some high scores and taking gold but their were many other highlights…many good and some bad. I watched all the snowboarding competitions and one rider that really stood out was Ayumu Hirano! Wow!!! What a great rider and only being 14 years old and taking silver right under Shaun White! This kid looks to be the future of snowboarding and another great addition to the boarding community!

Accidents happen obviously and they are to be expected at any X Games event and the Winter X Games was no exception. Jackson Strong attempted his signature move but bails mid air with an unexpected runaway snowmobile. Luckily those fences did their job and kept spectators and crew members safe.

If you missed all the action that happend on the Winter X Games last year then check out this highlight video with records broken and stunts that only happen at the X Games! Held in Aspen last year, the X Games are right back in Aspen airing January 24th to 27th on ESPN and ABC for some more surprising record breaking events. Every year I look forward to watching the Winter X Games for so many reasons. The commercials for the extreme sports event have one of a kind ads and during the events things happen unexpected that are so memorable that even people who aren’t into any of the sports would be amazed! Snowboarding is my sport to watch during the X Games but every event has their moment so stay tuned this weekend!

Shuttle Run!

The Shuttle Endeavor was a big deal here in Los Angeles. Besides it being the Endeavor, the shuttle made a route from LAX through Inglewood to the California Science Center! The news stations were all over this shuttle adventure and if you weren’t waiting for the Endeavor to pass by you on the street, you were watching on TV to see the awesome travel that the shuttle took to show itself off to the public while getting to it’s destination! Falling from anything or on something is always funny…I mean as long as no one gets hurt of course. Fail Army did a round up of hilarious falls, crashes, surprise attacks and any other kind of fail possible throughout the 2nd week of January. So many videos out there of peoples worst moments for others to see over and over again and why not make a compilation of these wonderful moments to make a mega fail montage? I’ve had my share of embarrassing moments but luckily they just stay in my family and friends minds. Have an embarrassing moment or two?

Socal Fins

It’s that time of year for whales to come to the California coastal waters in this cold winter and with the longest natural migration in the world Socal has the finest sights of these beautiful animals! Starting in December through April thousands of sea mammals travel to give birth and nurse their young in the warmer waters. Within these months its a great time to go on boat cruise around the Los Angeles area to watch different sea life up close! Whales, dolphins and seals to name a few will be sights around beaches but tours in a popular areas like Catalina Island are the best option.

I’ve been on a few boat tours myself and being a person with motion sickness doesn’t make the experience so great but if you’re a person with an iron stomach and curious about sea life then take a tour! How many people can say they saw a humpback whale just feet away!
